Few notes on: Videogame music 2015

Игровая музыка 2015, саундтреки, видеоигры

I was recently wondering – which were the most memorable game soundtracks last year. And how much of it was 80s inspired synthwave. Turns out, there were synths like that, but not that many and music in general was very varied. It still felt like it had nostalgic notes about one thing or another. And I also want to give a special mention to Metal Gear Solid V, which has a rather average soundtrack of music composed for it if you try to listen to it outside the game, but when in the game – sounds stellar, just like everything sound related in this game.

Here are nine tracks from nine soundtracks:

  1. Axiom Verge: Thomas Happ – Cellular Skies (full soundtrack)
  2. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number: iamthekidyouknowwhatimean – Run (full soundtrack)
  3. Read Only Memories: 2 Mello – Turing’s Theme (full soundtrack)
  4. Undertale: Toby Fox – Megalovania (full soundtrack)
  5. Dying Light: Pawel Blaszczak – Departure (full soundtrack)
  6. Shadowrun: Hong Kong: Jon Everist – Grendel (full soundtrack)
  7. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Marcin Przybyłowicz – Hunt Or Be Hunted (full soundtrack available with the game)
  8. Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture: Jessica Curry – Finding the Pattern (весь саундтрек)
  9. Pillars of Eternity: Justin Bell – Oldsong (full soundtrack, also available as part of the Champion Edition and higher)

Happy listening!

UPDATE: Since I’ve only played the game this year, I completely forgot that the game was 2015. But you should definitely check the fantastic soundtrack to Sylvio. Can be purchased here.
